These Terms & Conditions govern participation in programs offered under the name Amaayahuasca, organized and coordinated by:

1. Nature of the Services
Amaayahuasca provides preparation guidance, organizational support, and integration assistance in connection with traditional ceremonial practices held by independent Shipibo curanderos in Peru.
Participation may include the voluntary consumption of traditional plant preparations, including the brew known as Ayahuasca.
No participant will ever be required or pressured to ingest any plant preparation. Participation is entirely voluntary and undertaken at the participant’s own responsibility.
2. Legal Context
Participants acknowledge that in Peru, traditional plant medicine practices, including the ceremonial use of Ayahuasca, are legal and culturally recognized.
Participants are solely responsible for understanding the legal status of such practices in their country of residence.
3. Medical Disclaimer
Amaayahuasca is not a medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic institution.
Maria Ursina Balastèr and any associated facilitators or collaborators do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent diseases and do not provide medical or psychological therapy.
All services are offered for spiritual, educational, and personal development purposes only. Participation does not replace professional medical or psychological treatment.
If unsure about contraindications, participants must consult a licensed healthcare professional before attending.
4. Health Disclosure & Responsibility
Participants must fully and truthfully disclose:
- Any history of mental health conditions
- Cardiovascular or neurological conditions
- Current medication use
- Substance dependency
- Any relevant medical treatment
Failure to disclose relevant information releases Amaayahuasca from responsibility related to such omissions.
Participants acknowledge that plant medicine may involve intense physical, emotional, or psychological experiences and assume full responsibility for participation.
5. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
Participation in ceremonial environments may involve physical, emotional, or psychological risks.
By participating, individuals confirm:
- They act of their own free will
- They understand that no specific outcomes are guaranteed
- They accept full personal responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for direct damages is limited to the amount paid for participation, excluding cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where exclusion is prohibited by law (e.g., gross negligence or intent).
6. Confidentiality
All personal, medical, and spiritual information shared will be treated confidentially.
Information may be shared only with:
- Responsible ceremonial facilitators
- Essential support staff
- Authorities if legally required
Personal data is processed according to the separate Privacy Policy.
7. Payment Policy
Accepted payment methods:
- International bank transfer
- Cash (in Peru)
Participants are responsible for transfer fees and currency exchange costs.
Full payment conditions are communicated individually prior to confirmation.
8. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Due to limited group sizes and advance organizational commitments:
- More than 60 days before retreat start: Refund minus 10% administrative fee.
- 59–30 days before retreat start: 50% refund of total amount paid.
- 29 days or less before retreat start: No refund.
If a participant leaves voluntarily after the retreat has begun, no refund is granted.
At the discretion of Amaayahuasca, a credit valid for 12 months may be offered.
If Amaayahuasca must cancel due to force majeure, safety concerns, or insufficient participants, payments may be refunded or transferred to a future date. Travel expenses and third-party costs are not reimbursed.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
9. Governing Law
If a participant resides in the EU/EEA, mandatory consumer protection laws remain unaffected. Otherwise, Swiss law applies.
